Showami buyer access tips

I’ve noticed something in the market over the past few weeks and wanted to bring it to your attention to help your business and your buyers.

I’ve seen several showings on Sundays get canceled because the home went under contract or the sellers aren’t allowing any more showings. This is great news for sellers but a challenge for agents that are handling multiple buyers. The listing agents are forcing the buyers to view homes on Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes they don’t allow showings until Saturday morning. So my advice is this: Find a way to get your buyers into the homes ASAP. Don’t wait until Sunday to show the home even if the agent says it will be available. Here are three things you can do to get your buyer into the homes faster.

  1. Call, text and email the listing agent and attempt to get your buyer access the first day that a home hits the market
  2. Be the first agent to show the home on Saturday if you can’t get access earlier. This will give you time to write an offer and get a lender letter in before your competition.
  3. If you can’t be available to show the home yourself, then use Showami to get your buyer access. If your buyer likes the home you can always double back and see it later in the day.
